Marine-grade lights designed for PURPOSE
The Ayrton Series Marine‑Grade variant has a range of features that ensure it is suitable for exposed coastal and windy environments, particularly where resistance to salt spray is critical:
C5 corrosion-resistant finish (marine-grade powder coating): This upgrade offers superior protection in coastal zones frequently exposed to salt-laden air. The light with its durable coating (200 μm thick) has been tested to 5,000 hours of salt spray (ASTM B117/ISO 9227), ensuring long-term resistance to corrosion.
IP66-rated, pressure-tested modular LED modules: Each LED module is individually pressure-tested and sealed to IP66 standards. The modular “chimney” layout improves thermal dissipation and reliability, even in humid, salty, or rain-prone coastal environments.
Engineered for high-wind areas: Specialist forward-throw optics allow for installation at low tilt angles. Combining this with the compact, aerodynamic design minimises wind resistance and structural stress, making it ideal for tall masts and exposed coastal installations that frequently experience strong winds.
Heavy-duty aluminium alloy housing: Constructed from aluminium alloy, the housing offers both mechanical strength and corrosion resistance - key for coastal locations prone to high winds and airborne salt.
Integrated surge protection (TVS + optional SPD): Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) and optional Surge Protection Devices (SPD) rated up to 20 kV/10 kA protect against power surges and lightning strikes common in coastal storms.
Precision optics with environmental control: With over 30 optical configurations (e.g., asymmetric, symmetric, back-spill guards), the light can be tailored to reduce glare, light pollution, and light spill - important in environmentally sensitive marine settings.
