LiFePO4 Emergency Lights

The emergence of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries has offered one of the biggest technological improvements in emergency lighting in recent years. The three main advantages over traditional Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) emergency lighting batteries are:

  1. LiFePO4 batteries have double the operational life - this effectively halves both the parts and labour costs of maintaining a compliant emergency lighting system.
  2. LiFePO4 batteries are compact in size - this allows sleeker, more aesthetically-pleasing emergency lighting products.
  3. LiFePO4 batteries have an extremely low self discharge and power consumption under use. e.g. standby power of a Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) battery is 5W, whereas our equivalent LiFePO4 battery would be 1.5W

Kellwood has a diverse range of dedicated emergency products that use lithium iron phosphate battery technology. We also have a range of commercial and industrial maintained emergency fittings and packs, including LED panels, downlights, and linear lights, available.
